Even though the STI index is still classified mainly under the developing markets, I feel that there is a need for some exposure to other emerging market stocks such as China and India where this iShares Core MSCI EM IMI UCITS ETF | EIMI will enable me to get the required exposure that I want. From what I read, Singaporeans do not have to focus on the Emerging Market yet and should focus on the local market as we will usually retire in Singapore and should build up our portfolio based on Singapore stocks or ETF. However, I believe that it is worth trying with a small amount of money when I am young so that if I fail, I can fail fast.
